Using THIS EXERCISE, complete 50 ear-training exercises. You must earn a 60% or higher. (That's at least 30 correct answers) If you need help remembering what each interval sounds like, use the almighty power of Google. There are lots of documents floating around the interwebs that folks have made to help with this exact skill. Details and pictures of your set-up are below. Submit your progress report HERE.
* If you struggle with intervals, there is someone in each class who IS pretty good. You are welcome to help each
other, but try not to tell each other the answers. We obviously can't police that, but I trust you to help without
"cheating." If you're good at intervals, you got that way with hard work and practice - don't cheat others out of
earning that skill like you did! :-)
* If you have not earned a 60% by the last 5 minutes of class, submit your best score at that time - no sooner.
1) Click the settings button. If you are taking a Band I-II test, change settings to use the only the 8 major/perfect intervals. Band III-IV should use the minors and tritone as well. Do not use the compound intervals (M9, etc.) at the bottom. You can adjust the "Play Mode" to also include harmonic (together) if you would like. All the other settings should be default.
2) When you've completed 50 exercises with a score of at least 60%, click the 3-dot icon again and choose "Show Progress Report." Screenshot this report (Command-Shift-4, drag and select the area around the report) Name the file "Last, First" and submit it in the GoogleForm linked above.
